What is 2009 National Donut Day?

Today marks the 2009 National Donut Day here in the United States. With children, adults, and sweet-tooths of all ages celebrating coast-to-coast, one has to wonder if such a day is needed with a growing obesity problem? However, one cannot deny the sheer goodness flowing from the doors of Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donut shops across the nation. National Donut Day, if celebrated in moderation, can be something most everyone can be happy for.
